A message from our founder and CEO, John Graham Harper:

I’m John Graham Harper, and my journey from a competitive athlete to the CEO of Lumaflex has been driven by a deep passion for fitness and innovation. My competitive career began in rugby, where I injured both shoulders. This led me to CrossFit, where a knee injury from a clean and jerk further challenged me. After CrossFit, I turned to boxing, but eventually developed headaches due to a tumor caused by micro-traumas to my brain.

Throughout these challenges, I discovered the remarkable benefits of red light therapy, introduced to me by my wife. The initial device I used was cumbersome and difficult to handle. This experience inspired me to create Lumaflex—a revolutionary red light therapy device that is powerful, portable, and easy to use anytime, anywhere.

At Lumaflex, I’m dedicated to pushing the boundaries of health and wellness technology. Our innovative solutions have earned accolades such as Time Magazine’s Best Invention of 2023, the ISPO Award, and Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Award for Sports and Recreation.
